Roger E. Triplett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Eugene Triplett, who departed this life peacefully on October 21, 2025 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was 70 years old. Roger was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew him.Born on December 2, 1954 in Valdese, North Carolina, Roger grew up with a deep appreciation for family, hard work, community, and the outdoors. His easy-going nature, genuine smile, and lively conversation made everyone feel welcome. He had a special love for native plants, pollinators, live music, and woodworking, and he shared these passions with those around him, leaving memories that will be treasured for a lifetime.Roger is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Triplett; his daughter, Kaiman Triplett; his sister, Paula Macik (John Macik); his sister-in-law, Nicole Prillaman (Brian Prillaman); his brother-in-law, Mark Holdren; his mother-in-law, Jean Holdren; his three nephews Tyler Macik (Monica), Chandler Macik (Muktti), and Zack Prillaman; his niece, Brianne Mendez; and his beloved dog, Roxie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wes and Mary Triplett. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to honor Roger’s memory may make a donation to Good Samaritan Hospice, whose care and compassion brought great comfort during his final days. Roger Triplett’s craftsmanship, warm and welcoming spirit, genuine kindness, and love of life will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
