Roger Lee Craig

Roger Lee Craig, 74, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his home. He was born May 27, 1950, in Bassett, Virginia, to the late Harry Craig and Rosie Deal Craig.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Roger was of the Christian faith and attended True Church of Jesus Christ. Roger was employed by Easter’s Car Lot where he worked in maintenance and as a mechanic. He loved music, especially bluegrass. He sang and played the guitar, the 12-string guitar being his favorite instrument. When he wasn’t in the yard planting flowers with Terry, you could find him enjoying life outdoors having cookouts, camping, or spending time at the lake.

He is survived by the love of his life for twenty-three years, Terry Munoz Cad ena; son, John Craig; step-daughters, Ashley Courtney, Amy Lieteau (John), and Skyler Pavon (Curtis Wells); sisters, Brenda Setliff and Janice Wright; brothers, Harry Ramey Craig, Terry Wayne Craig, and Carlton Craig; grandchildren, Isaiah Jefferson Pennell, Nevaeh Marie Wells, Heaven Rain Wells, A.J. Pennell, and Benjamin Pennell, Taylor Lieteau, Carter Lieteau, Joseph Lieteau; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service with Pastors Dwayne Pruitt and Charles Waller officiating.
