Rolf Alfred Koehler

Rolf Alfred Koehler, MD., age 95 of Pulaski passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Born August 20, 1927 in Hanover, Germany he was the son of the late Ernst Frederick & Dore Traenhart Koehler. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ilse Marie Wald.

Wife – Julia Ann (Rodgers) Koehler – Pulaski

Children – Ernst Frederick Koehler - (Lake Norman, NC)

Stepchildren - Shawn Patrick Dunlap - (Radford), Dana (Kevin) Dunlap – (Salem), Daniel R. Dunlap PH. D, Blacksburg

Grandchildren – Elizabeth Koehler (Denver, CO), Eric Koehler (Charlotte, NC)

Step Grandchildren - Victoria Dunlap (Danville, CA), Kaela Dunlap (Front Royal, VA), Cole Dunlap (Blacksburg)

Brother – Klaus Koehler – Germany

Sister – Heidi Marie (Helmut) Schafer, PhD – Germany

Brother-in-law – Alfred Wald – Germany

Many nieces and nephews in Germany

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM - Saturday, May 20,2023 in the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to service time.
