Ronald Edwin Cain

February 19, 1962 - June 27, 2024

Ron "Rodeo" Cain, a kind and gentle husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, son-in-law, and friend, passed away on June 27th after his battle with cancer. Born on February 19th, 1962, Ron spent nearly 42 years on the road as a trucker, a profession he loved. He wasn't just a trucker though; he was a champion. Ron competed in truck rodeos, (competitions testing a trucker's skill), where he won numerous trophies and awards, a testament to his talent and dedication.

Beyond the road, Ron cherished moments spent camping with his wife, his dog, family, and friends. He was a social butterfly, happiest when everyone was gathered around a crackling campfire he'd built himself. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Ron offered his assistance to anyone in need, and his friendly chatter was a constant companion to his acts of kindness.

A lifelong NASCAR fan, Ron had a deep passion for cars. He loved working on them and ensuring they ran smoothly, just like he ensured the well-being of those around him.

Strong in his faith, Ron's love for the Lord shone through in everything he did. A man who could find a reason to give thanks in even the smallest things, he was known to pray over a simple Nab cracker. His dedication to his church community was evident in his weekly ritual of making coffee, a role that earned him the affectionate nickname "He Brew."

Ron "Rodeo" Cain will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor David Bunn officiating.
