Ronald L. Madison

Ronald Lyman Madison, 83, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Jasper Lyman Madison and Frances Kidd Madison, and his brother Gregory Robin Madison.

He was a career truck driver and a friend to all.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda Grim Madison, two children, Stephanie Coffey (Carlyle) of Lexington, Virginia, and Timothy Madison (Janet) of Mechanicsville, Virginia. He is also survived by four grandchildren, James Coffey (Tonya), Amanda Henry (Wayne), Joshua Madison (Erin), Courtney Madison (Dan), and six great grandchildren Addi, Sara, Eric, Hallie, Georgia and M.J.; as well as a brother Tom Madison (June), and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

A Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 pm, Monday, February 3, 2025 at Simpsons Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd., Roanoke, Virginia where a funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. With interment to follow at 1:00 pm in The High Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 67 High Bridge Church Rd., Natural Bridge, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronnie’s memory may be made to High Bridge Presbyterian Church, Natural Bridge or Melrose Baptist Church, Roanoke.
