Ronald Lane Thompson

Ronald Lane Thompson, 71, of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1953, to the late Ronald Haywood Thompson and Edna Boyd Seay. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his 2nd father, James Irvin Seay, Jr.

Ronald enjoyed working on cars and watching NASCAR, wrestling, football, and his favorite tv stories. He most of all enjoyed having fun times with family and friends. He retired from being a Tractor Trailer driver for 50 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Renea Thompson-Reeves; son, Christopher Lane Thompson; four grandchildren: Desi Arrington, Zackery Chance Arrington, Sierra Bree-Ann Reeves and Zeariah Renea Reeves; three great-grandchildren; two stepsisters, Rhonda Dee Seay and Sherry Seay Taylor; his fur babies; and a host of other family and friends

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
