Ronald Lee DeWeese

Ronald (Ronny) DeWeese, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2022.

Ronny is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Gladys DeWeese, as well as his brother, Bentley DeWeese.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Gordon DeWeese; daughter, Amanda Ann DeWeese; brother-in-law, Dennis Gordon and wife, Pam; as well as a nephew, nieces, great niece and nephews, great-great nieces, and a great-great nephew.

A proud veteran, Ronny served in the United States Navy from 1964-1968, aboard the USS Haynsworth Destroyer. He worked in construction for many years and was part owner of a business before his retirement.

The family will welcome friends on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and again from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Upper Parlor of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Adam Gordon officiating. Interment with military honors immediately following in Sherwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or Toys for Tots.
