Rondol William Rice

Rondol William Rice, 64, of Blue Ridge, VA went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family as he left to start his heavenly journey. Rondol’s death was a result of injuries sustained in a work-related accident on October 28th in Carroll County, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Christine Rice of Blue Ridge, and brother Stephen.

Rondol grew up and lived in Blue Ridge, VA. He was a 1979 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and was a long-time employee of VDOT. His greatest loves were the Lord, his wife, family, home, pets (dog Nebby, cats Boo-boo, Dolly, Jake, Oreo, and Zeek), and being in nature.

He is survived by his wife Connie, sisters Belinda Looney (David), Phyllis Booth (David), Terry Wainwright (Roy); children Steve Sanderson (Leah), Samantha Craig; grandchildren Layla Dooley, Emmi Adams, Greyson Widener, and Jaspar Sanderson; sister-in-law Sharon Graham (Mike). Also, long-time friend George Conner, special friend Jeremy Mcelraff, special cousin Kenny Lovern and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.

The family request that memorial donations made in Rondol’s honor be sent to Angels of Assisi or an animal rescue of your choice.

Services will be private per Rondol’s wishes.
