Ronnie Dale Motley

Ronnie Dale Motley, 84, of Chatham, VA, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. Mr. Motley was born May 6, 1939 in Chatham, VA to the late Murry Motley and the late Lucie Shelton Motley. He was married to Pauline Holley Haskins, who survives, of the residence. He was a member of Sheva Church of Christ and a proud member of the NRA. He was a professional meat cutter for the grocery industry and was a truck driver for 15 years with Yeatts Transfer.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is also survived by a stepdaughter, Karen Haskins Green of Hurt, VA, a sister, Effie Giles of TN, and a stepson, Adam Green of Hurt, VA.

Mr. Motley was predeceased, in addition to his parents, by a newborn son, Daryle Scott Motley, a stepson-in-law, David Green, a sister, Vickie Motley Gwaltney, and a brother, Eugene Motley.

Graveside services for Mr. Motley will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, VA, officiated by Minister Ron Voss.

The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. at the Chatham Chapel of Norris Funeral Services, 147 South Main Street, Chatham, VA.
