Ronnie Lee Plaster

Ronnie Lee Plaster, 81, passed away on June 16, 2023. He was born on October 21, 1941 in Fieldale, VA to the late Mildred Turner Plaster and the late Farley Joe Plaster. He was predeceased by his loving wife Esther Garrard Plaster.

Ronnie was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and was also a member of the Danville Jaycee’s for many years. He was a coach for slow pitch softball for many years, served in many ways and multiple committee’s for the church. He worked as a shoe salesman his entire life for Marilyn, Butler’s and Rack Room Shoes where he was known as “Mr. Butler”. He was also a very loyal husband.

He is survived by his daughters; Kathy Moorefield Dodson (Marty), Patsy Plaster Pruitt (Jeff), sister in-laws; Ann Plaster, Maggie Plaster, grandchildren; Melissa Moorefield Myers (Brett), Michael Thomas Moorefield, Jr. (Heather), Casey Nicole Pruitt Scruggs (Andrew), great-grandchildren; Ashton Lee Myers, Bryce Randall Myers, Haley Marie Moorefield, Caroline Gayle Scruggs, Addilyn Nicole Scruggs, also survived by numerous close friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers; Leonard F. Plaster and Marvin J. Plaster.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00AM at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Chromy and Pastor Corey Young officiating.

Interment will be private.
