Ronnie Lee Shelton

Ronnie Lee Shelton, 66, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024. He was born in Danville, VA on July 20, 1958 to the late Alyne Adkins Shelton and the late Oscar Junior Shelton. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Debbie Shelton.

Ronnie attended Round Pond Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for many years for H.J. Shelton Logging Company. He had a special love for Gospel Music and was a member of the bluegrass gospel group “The Gospel Few”. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Ronnie is survived by two daughters; Sonya Osborne (Gregg) of Chatham, VA and Amanda Long (Ed) of Vernon Hill, VA; two sisters; Jan Gregory of Hurt, VA and Betty Hedrick (Carlton) of Danville, VA; two brothers; Buddy Shelton (Lana) of Chatham, VA and Leonard Shelton (Diane) of Sutherlin, VA; five grandchildren; Ethan Osborne, Kaleigh Osborne, Alivia Long, Corbin Long, and Rhiley Long; and one great grandchild; Lynnex Osborne.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Round Pond Baptist Church, 11469 Toshes Road, Sandy Level, VA 24161.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 11:00am at Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, VA with Pastor Ricky Hogan officiating. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence.
