Ronnie R. Laprade

Ronnie R. LaPrade, 72, went to be with his Heavenly Father and his family on Friday, October 13, 2023. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a son of the late Willie Wayne LaPrade, Sr. and Mildred F. Buckner LaPrade. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy LaPrade; a son, William LaPrade; sister, Suzzie Cooper; brothers, Wayne and Michael LaPrade.

Ronnie gave his life to Christ 8 years ago and he was very proud and loved to share that with anyone he met. He was a very loving and caring and would give you the shirt off his back. Ronnie loved to spend time with his family, collecting different things and going fishing.

He is survived by his children, Loretta LaPrade, Matthew Laprade, Sr. and Nicole Wellons; brother, Curtis LaPrade and wife, Veldia; grandchildren, Jazmynn, Jordan, Landon, Alexander, Matthew, Jr. Bethany, Nehemiah and Kendra; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Mila and Indica; nephew and niece, Stacy LaPrade and Tressa Lynn Cooper Wilson; and other family and friends.

A celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held 4:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Riverside Evangelical Methodist Church, 1920 Lucas Street, Salem, Virginia 24153 with Pastor Brian Gordon officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.lotzfuneralhomevinton.com
