Rose Marie Mills Gerrells

Rose Marie Mills Gerrells, age 87 of Danville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Gerrells was born April 29, 1938, in Danville, Virginia to the late Hugh Edward Mills and the late Ollie Mills. She was married to the late William Leo Gerrells.

She is survived by her three sons, William Gerrells of Danville, VA, John Thomas Gerrells of Mt Airy, NC, and Daniel Lee Gerrells (Karen) of Reidsville, NC.; grandchildren, Alec Varipapa, Josh Gerrells, Zack Gerrells, Daniel Gerrells, Kacie McGoldrick (Kevin), and Katlyn Bray (Patrick); and her sister, Bonnie Hale of Danville, VA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her beloved daughter, Susan Gerrells Varipapa; her beloved son, David A. Gerrells; her brother, Donnie Mills; and her sister, Lula Gauldin.

A funeral service honoring Mrs. Gerrells will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, West End Chapel. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., also at Norris Funeral Service. 

Following the funeral service, the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
