Roy David Busick

Mr. Roy “David” Busick, Jr., age 66 of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Busick was born on May 24, 1956, in Surry County to the late Roy David Busick, Sr. and Patricia Shelton Busick. David was a loving son and a member of Salem United Methodist Church and attended Flat Ridge Baptist Church faithfully while his health permitted. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Surviving is his mother, Patricia Shelton Busick; uncles and aunts, Kenneth Busick, and Dot, Fred Shelton and Sarah; Alice Hill and Jack; cousins, Vincent Wills, Tony Hall, Marie Busick Savoie, Scotty Hall, James Busick, Dale Hall, Wayne Hill; his fellow Yokefellow Ministries volunteers, and his fur baby, Petey. Mr. Busick was preceded in death by his father, Roy David Busick, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Margaret Shelton; and his paternal grandparents, Monroe and Leadie Busick. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sammy Lawson, Reverend Dennis Bledsoe, and Reverend Jack Danley officiating. Interment to follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
