Roy Eugene Davidson

Roy Eugene Davidson, 80, of Martinsville, VA passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was born October 12, 1942 in Martinsville to the late Love Roy Davidson and Ethel Bousman Davidson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leon V. Davidson; and sisters, Florence L. Harbour and Sylvia Matthews.

Roy served in the U.S. Marines from 1961 to 1965.

He is survived by his daughter, Helen “Libby” Ashley (Randy); grandchildren, Maggie Ashley and Clay Ashley; wife/caregiver, Pat Davidson; sister, Carolyn D. Holland; and many nieces and newphews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Norris Funeral Services and other times at Roy’s home. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
