Ruby Clark Broughman

Ruby Opal Clark Broughman, age 88, of 1902 Mallow Road, Covington, Virginia died on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at The Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Low Moor.
Ruby was born on May 17, 1936 in Rockbridge County, Virginia to the late James Adderson Clark, Jr. and Minnie Delia Ballard Clark. She was a homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed arts and crafts, taking care of plants, and playing BINGO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend, Louise Campbell.
She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Paxton (Bruce) of Covington, Shirley Kimberlin (Wayne) of Covington, Cynthia Dudley (Jimmy) of Eagle Rock, and Crystal Hoke (Bobby) of Covington; four sons, Roger Broughman (Ellen) of Clifton Forge, Carrol Broughman (Sharon) of Clifton Forge, Michael Broughman (Tana) of Fredericksburg, Edward Broughman of Clifton Forge, and Charles Broughman of Covington; a brother, Jesse Clark of Rockbridge County; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and all of her friends at The Brian Center.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Virgil Woodie officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, Eagle Rock. The family will visit with friends on Friday afternoon from 12:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
