Ruby Edwards Stewart Jamerson

Ruby Edwards Stewart Jamerson, 83, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born September 20, 1939, in Bassett, Virginia to the late John Edwards and Lucy Goad Edwards. She was a CNA for many years and a member of Bassett Worship Center. She enjoyed all crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Jamerson, Sr.; son, David Neal Stewart; sisters, Ruth Martin, Frances Woff and Barbara Reeves; and brothers, J. D. Edwards and Dennis Edwards.

She is survived by daughters, Darlene Bobbio (Jeff), Reva Annette Mardres, and Donna Lewellyn; son, Joseph William Stewart; sister Peggy Marlowe (Ernie); brother, Clifton Edwards (Barbara); nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:30 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastors John Canning and Bruce Hagee officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. The family requests that everyone please wear a mask to the service.
