Russell Lee Hairston

Russell Lee Hairston, 65, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022. He was born in Martinsville, Virginia to the late William Henry
Hairston, Sr. and Dora Lee Hairston.

Russell proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was baptized at a young age, loved to cook, loved to watch westerns, and was a big jokester.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ella Mae Hodge, Elizabeth Moyer, Ruby Hairston, Ruby Chisolm, Betty Hunt; brothers, William Henry Hairston, Vincent Hairston, Timothy Hairston, and James Hairston.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marion Gravely Hairston; sons, Quincy Hairston, Bryan Hairston (Britany); sisters, Janet Dillard, Alice Hughes (John); brothers, Sammy Hairston (Arnette), Fred Hairston (Sheda), and Anthony Hairston (Kathy).

All services will be private.
