Ruth Beatrice Crotty Snidow

Ruth Beatrice Crotty Snidow, 82, of Salem, Va. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 8:45 am. She died peacefully with family by her side at Roanoke Carilion Hospital.

Born September 25, 1942 in Rich Creek, VA. She moved to Bozoo, West Virginia in 1954 and attended Vanderbilt School at Bozoo then graduated in 1961 from Forest Hill High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Houston Kelly Crotty (1986) and Viola Bradley Crotty (1992); sister, Patricia “Pat” McDaniel (2015); and husband Jim Snidow (2018).

Those left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her beloved sons, Jim (Leisa) Snidow of Boones Mill and Keith (Mary Beth) Snidow of Salem; grandson, Jordon who was her pride and joy; special niece, Lori (Tim) Bennett of Forest Hill, WV; and nephew, David (Debra) McDaniel of Kernersville, NC.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.
