Ruth Madeline Howard Garcia

Ruth Madeline Howard Garcia, 67, of Elkin, North Carolina passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born December 9, 1956, in Pulaski County, Virginia to the late Junior and Dorothy Howard. Mrs. Garcia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rosa Bowman and David, and Mary Reed; sons, Shannon Elmore and Patricia, and Junior Garcia and Chasity Carter; grandchildren, Ebin Gillispie, Angel Gillispie, Karris Bowman, Timothy Fields, Taylor Patterson, Kiara Garcia, Shane Garcia, Kaylei Garcia, Jaiden Garcia, Jaxton Garcia, Austin Reed, Travis Reed, and Ronnie Reed; great grandchildren, Ava Moreno, Atreus White, Ariel Reed, Scarlett Reed, Harmony Reed, Paisley Patterson, Bentley Pruitt, and Bethany Fields; sister and brothers-in-law, Mary "Frances" Scott and Gary, and William Vance. Along with her parents Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Garcia; sisters and brother-in-law, Claudine Vance, Marie Richards and Rod, Loretta Harman, and Brenda Howard; as well as brothers, Roy Howard, Ricky Howard, and Arnold Howard. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Garcia Home.
