Ruth Thompson Booze

Ruth Thompson Booze passed away on October 14, 2023 in Port Orange, Florida.

Ruth was born in Salem on August 12, 1938 to Margaret Flinchum and James Thompson, both deceased. She was one of seven children. On February 16, 1959 Ruth married Richard L. Booze, who survives. Ruth and Richard moved to Gainesville, Florida where she worked for Florida Children and Family Services for 25 years. Ruth and Richard were very active members of the Florida Gator Caravan, she loved Gator Football.

In addition to her husband of 64 years those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Peggy Griffith and Becky Sink; and thirteen nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Sherwood Memorial Park.
