Sallie Ann Pearson

Sallie Ann Pearson, 91, died Thursday, February 15, 2024, surrounded by love and her favorite hymns. Born January 22, 1933, in Callands, VA, she was the daughter of the late Carroll and Sallie Lou Pearson. Ms. Pearson graduated from Callands High School in 1951. Sallie Ann devoted her life to the care of her family, her church, and her community.

She is survived by her niece and faithful caregiver, Priscilla Walker of Danville. She was preceded in death by her siblings Mozelle, Frances, and Cecil.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 3:00pm at Matthews Memorial Church, 1060 Calvary Road, Chatham, VA 24531 with the Reverend Russell East III officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 2-3:00pm. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Matthews Memorial Community Church, c/o Candy Walker, 657 Mountain Drive, Callands, VA 24530.
