Sammie Holley Stinson

Sammie Holley Stinson, age 99, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was the daughter of the late John Russell Holley and Ruth Mills Holley.

In addition to her parents Sammie was preceded in passing by her husband Richard Earl Stinson; her son Richard Earl "Dickie" Stinson, Jr.; her siblings Shirley Bailey, John R. Holley, Jr., and Odessa Bryant.

Those left to cherish Sammie's memory include her nieces and nephews Bonnie Woodward. Jerry Bailey, Glen Bailey, Steve Bailey, Le H. Cox, Sandra B. Santini, Kevin Compton, Frank Riner, Craig Riner, and Mike Stinson; and her great nephew Kendall Woodward.

A celebration of Sammie's life will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 at 2pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Dave Edinger officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
