Sandra Barker Tucker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Tucker, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who left us on October 2, 2024. She was 71 years old and lived a life filled with love and kindness.

Born on January 30, 1953 in Danville, VA, Sandra dedicated her life to her family. She was a pillar of strength and warmth, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. Her smile could light up any room, and her generous spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, Keith Tucker, her two daughters, Lori Kay Buchanan and husband Ed and Sara Beth Stites and husband Michael, and her cherished grandchildren, Evan Tucker Buchanan, Hayden Marshall Buchanan, Dyland Thomas Buchanan, and Maggie Lee Stites. She also leaves behind her siblings Wayne Barker, Bobby Barker, Dean Phelps, and Diane Davis as well as a wide circle of friends who will remember her for her unwavering support and infectious joy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 3:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Barry Solomon officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 2-3:00pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel.

Sandra will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared and the lives she touched.
