Sandra Creasy Dewitt

Sandra Creasy DeWitt, 78, of Madison Heights, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Born in Lynchburg on August 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Terrell Raymond Creasy and Loriene Turner Chism.

Sandra was a woman of strong faith and a devoted member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, which played an important role in her life.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially working crossword puzzles and spending time with her beloved Chihuahuas, Binky and Molly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther B. DeWitt, Jr.

Sandra is survived by her son, Jimmy Overstreet; her daughter, Vicky Baxley; her sister, Linda Deters; and her cherished granddaughter, Mariah Deters.

A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
