Sandy Douglas Carter, 58, of Martinsville Virginia, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his residence. He was born August 27, 1964, in Martinsville, to Rachel Sigmond Carter and the late Douglas Carter.He was the owner/operator of Slims Club Parlor and well known as a jubilant, loving person. He enjoyed golfing, traveling especially to Las Vegas, and spending quality time with his family and friends. As an avid “card shark,” he knew when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carla Dannegger Carter; sons, Joshua Douglas Carter and Brock Douglas Carter; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
