Sarah Hurley

Sarah Lou Agee Hurley, 74, of Ridgway, Virginia, entered her heavenly rest Tuesday, August 12, 2025. She was born November 6, 1950, to the late Moses Logan Agee and Essie Sharpe Agee in Henry County, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Mason Junior Agee, Darnell Agee, Arnold Timothy Agee, and David Agee.

Sarah was of the Christian faith, a dear saint who loved the Lord and demonstrated that love to everyone around her. She attended Martinsville Church of Truth where she found a faith community. She loved reading the Word of God, where she found her source of strength and comfort. Sarah was employed by the Henry County School System for 36 years as a bus driver. She loved the simple pleasures of life which included visiting the mountains of Pigeon Forge, eating out at Olive Garden, and making memories with her family.

Her legacy of love and faith will forever be imprinted on the hearts of her family. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 57 years, Tommy Hurley; daughter, Trina Huffman (Mark); son, Tommy Hurley, III; sisters, Mary Brinegar, Lillie Arrington, Donna Jackson (Jackie); grandchildren, Stephen Huffman, Hannah Huffman, adopted grandson Kevin Shawn Hurley (Amanda); great-grandchild, Madison Hurley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sarah Hurley to Martinsville Church of Truth, 1376 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, Virginia, 24112.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Martinsville Church of Truth with Pastor Bill Preskitt officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 711 Church Street, Ridgeway, Virginia. Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 PM.
