Scott Marshall

Thomas Scott Marshall, age 67 of Madison Heights, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

He was born on July 26, 1958 in Demopolis, AL, son of Catherine L. Marshall and the late Thomas W. Marshall.

Scott was a retired reporter. He was an avid reader and had been active in the Boy Scouts as a child where he came to love nature which carried with him throughout his life. His love of his family was shown by his leaving his career in California and moving home to help his mother look after his father.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Catherine L. Marshall; two sisters, Rebecca M. Mason (Walter) and Carolyn Lea Beaver (Hardey) as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Amherst Presbyterian Church with Pastor Mike Whorley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
