Shannon Linne Williams Collins, 54, of Rustburg, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Born with a vibrant spirit, Shannon cherished the moments spent with family and friends. She was the life of the party, a woman full of love, laughter, and a bit of sass that made her unforgettable to those who knew her.Shannon is survived by her children, Alex Peyton Collins and Autumn Savannah Reynolds; her step-daughter, Amber M. Betterton; three grandchildren, Ayden James Collins, Lakelyn Jace King, and Liam Owen Betterton; her significant other, Richard Lee Reynolds; her uncle, D. Wayne Williams (Sandra); sister, Laura Henry (Joseph); step-mother, Fran Williams; and nieces, Victoria G. Walden and Adriana E. Sita, as well as her nephew, Anthony James Sita.She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Blake Collins; her daddy, James Vernon Williams; uncles, George Williams and Randy Williams; and her grandparents, James B. Williams and Olivia C. Williams.Shannon loved hard and enjoyed the simple joys in life, like pizza, coffee and CSI. She adored dancing, where she brought energy and joy to every room. She never shied away from the spotlight. Her love for the beach, dolphins, and turtles was unmatched, and she never missed an opportunity to capture precious moments with her camera, always eager to preserve the memories made with her family.Her greatest passion, however, was her children and grandchildren. Shannon’s love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Despite the challenges life presented, she found peace in her final days, making things right with her loved ones and her Lord, Jesus Christ.A service celebrating Shannon’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Foundation or Wounded Warriors. Shannon’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and she will be deeply missed.
