Sharon Gayle Blankenship Cardwell

Sharon Gayle Blankenship Cardwell, 72, of Martinsville, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, peacefully at her residence. She was born on August 12, 1950, to the late Gus Shockley Blankenship and Mamie Lawson Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn Sherman Blankenship, and Daniel Wayne Blankenship; and her brothers-in-law, Dwayne Lee Blankenship, George Everett Cardwell, and Robert James Cardwell. 

 

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Larry Reed Cardwell; a daughter, Annette Renee Cardwell; a sister, Janet Marie Blankenship; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 2:00PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
