Sheila Brown
Sheila Marie Savwoir Brown passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 of Alzheimer's disease at the age of 77. She died with strong faith in Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) and the promise of a resurrection (Acts 24:15) into a paradise earth where death and pain will not exist. (Revelation 21:4)
Sheila was born in New Orleans, LA the second child of Joseph D. Savwoir and Vera J. Savwoir. After graduating from McDonogh 35 high school (class of 1964), she went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts from Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. After moving back to New Orleans with her 3 children, she attended Tulane University where she obtained her teaching certificate and taught in the
New Orleans and Jefferson Parish School Systems for over 22 years.
Sheila married James D. Brown and became mother to 3 precious children Yolanda, Jeffrey and Timothy. And was honored to be stepmother to Chevella and Jamesena.
Sheila was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hialeah, FL on July 15, 1975 and continued a full life of service to her wonderful God Jehovah until her death. She experienced immense joy and many special opportunities in her service to Jehovah by serving as a regular pioneer for 15 years, attending pioneer school twice, traveling to Italy and Australia for International Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses and constantly sharing with people the good news of God's Kingdom.
Sheila loved her children, family, friends, and students very much. She will be missed and fondly remembered by her daughter Yolanda, sons Jeffrey and Timothy, grandsons Jaxston and Judsen, sister Yvette Bradford (Earle), brother David Savwoir (Dee); sister in law Ann, Aunt Freda, Uncle Dalton (Marlene), Aunt Beanie (Nathaniel) and stepdaughters Chevella Maynor (Vernon) and Jamesena Nairn. Along with a host of amazing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the faith in Hialeah FL, Detroit MI, New Orleans LA, Harvey LA, Richardson TX, Plano TX and Roanoke VA.

A celebration of Sheila's life will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3359 Colonial Avenue, Cave Spring, VA 24018.
