Sheila Renee Anderson

Sheila Renee Anderson, 62, of Danville, VA departed this Earth peacefully on May 17, 2025. Born April 13, 1963 to Otis and Frances Martin in Pittsylvania County, VA, Sheila lived a life marked by laughter, loyalty, and deep devotion to those she loved.

She is survived by her loving husband Dennis Anderson Jr.; her daughters Kristin Laurel Anderson and Ashley Renee Recksiek (Jordan); her cherished grandchildren, Noah and Medeline Humphries; her sisters; Carolyn Harris, Pamela Jones, Valerie Martin and her brother James “Jimmy” Martin; stepdaughters; Tashia McCluney (Stanley), Kershn Ferguson (J.R.), and Amber Stanfield (Raymond); and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and step grandchildren.

Sheila worked at Virginia Candle Factory, Mohawk Industries, and EPL. She got her certification as a CNA from Danville Community College in 2023. Sheila was a proud and passionate Dallas Cowboy fan. She treasured even the smallest mementos from her loved ones. She found the greatest joys in the simple pleasures of life-taking vacations with her family, good meals shared at her favorite restaurants, spoiling her grandchildren, and quiet mornings spent with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise.

A Celebration of Life Service will he held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA 24540.
