Sherman Lewis Emler

Sherman Lewis Emler, 77, of Collinsville, Va passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1948, in Snow Creek, VA to the late Helen Doyle Woody and Jack Leroy Emler. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Keith Dwayne Emler, and his stepfather, Robert T. Woody.

Mr. Emler was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church. Sherman was a passionate hunter, with a particular fondness for deer hunting; however, his true favorite was turkey season in the spring. He owned and operated Economy Services from 1972 until his retirement in 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Shelton Emler; daughter, Sherylnn Emler (Ryan Falls); sisters, Sharon Napier, and Brenda Roop; and his brothers, Anthony Woody and Mark Woody (Beverly).

A visitation will be held at Stone Memorial Christian Church from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Stone Memorial Christian Church with Pastor Tim Wood officiating.
