Sherry Secrest Keatts

Sherry Lynette Secrest Keatts, 68, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born April 18, 1954 in Martinsville, to Maggie Ruth Spears Secrest and the late James David Secrest. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edmond Keatts; brothers, James David Secrest, II and Barry Lee Secrest; and nephew, Zachary Allan Rowe. Sherry was a 1972 graduate of Fieldale Collinsville High School, and had been employed by VF Knitwear in Accounts Payable for over ten years. She was an avid collector of pocketbooks, shoes, and jewelry, with a quick wit. She was a fantastic cook, and great decorator. She adored her daughter, Jessica, and her favorite place to be was Myrtle Beach. Her beautiful face, superb sense of humor, and sassiness, will be greatly missed. In addition to her mother; she is survived by her daughter, Jessica Keatts (Angelica “Geli”); sister, Wanda Rowe (Bobby); niece, Amber Bowman (Nathan); and nephews, Eric Hunter Rowe (Jen) and Jacob Ray Rowe. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park.
