Shirley Ann Maurer

Shirely Ann Maurer Mize, 73, of Horsepasture, Virginia, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Stanleytown Healthcare. She was born November 26, 1951, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late Chester Lee Mize and Colleen Cruthis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty years, Robert Maurer.

Shirley was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved playing games on the computer and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sheril Lynne Clifton and Kristal Dawn Simpkins; three grandsons, Austin Blake Flynt, Tyler Jacob Harris, and Bray Childress; and two brothers, Billy Mize and Tommy Mize.
