Shirley Ann Snow

Ms. Shirley Ann Snow, 72, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday evening, January 27, 2026, at Surry Community Health Center by Harborview. Ms. Snow was born January 20, 1954, in Surry County, one of three children born to the late Billy Abner and Gladys Hazel “Mick” Hutchens Snow. Shirley was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and a cherished friend to many. She retired as an assistant manager from Kmart, where she formed many meaningful friendships with her coworkers, friendships that continued long after her retirement. Shirley also dearly loved her fur babies, especially her dogs, who brought her much joy. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Jackie Moser; her son, Richard Shane Creed; her granddaughter, Abby Moser; her sister, Kim Vaughn; and her brother, Billy Gray Snow. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hutchens-Venable Cemetery, with the Rev. Frank Harmon officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
