Shirley Ann Stevenson Fain

Shirley Ann Stevenson Fain, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born on February 18,1938, in Grundy, VA to the late Ocie Faye Clevinger Stevenson and the late Earl Stevenson.

Shirley was of the Baptist Faith. She worked as a bookkeeper for Winn-Dixie till her retirement. She loved to square dance and was an avid bird watcher. Shirley had a pet groundhog named Bubba that she fed cabbage to on a regular basis.

Shirley is survived by a brother; Pete Stevenson of Danville, VA; Three nieces; April Stevenson Campell, Sandy Higdon, and Sharon Young; and four nephews; Stevie and Jamie Stevenson; and Dwayne and Jody Akers.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband Curtis Fain; two brothers; James E. Stevenson Sr. and Donny H. Stevenson and two sisters; Jean Akers and Ruby Stevenson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA with  Pastor Bob Yeaman officiating.
