Shirley Ida White Erb

Shirley Ida White Erb, age 84 of Danville, Virginia passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia. Mrs. Erb was born April 3, 1940 in Oneida, New York, to the late Edna Fairchild White and the late Richard White. She was married to Roger Erb, who survives, of the residence. Mrs. Erb was a member of Melville Baptist Church. She earned her LPN degree and worked as a nurse. Mrs. Erb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a friend to many. She will be remembered as a caring individual who was adored by all she came into contact with.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her children, Don Cunningham (Toni), Chuck Cunningham (Rhona), Bob Cunningham, Sheryl Blalock (Carl), Laurie Cunningham (Jim), and Kristen Gammon (Scott). Her surviving sisters include Judy DeMann, Sue Alvino, and Patrica Evans (Bruce) and her brothers, Bill White and Dick White (Dawn). Her grandchildren include Chuck, Elizabeth, Ben, Laura, Jack, Tyler, Lauren, Lindsey, Ray, Megan, and Mary, as well as six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Erb was predeceased by her sisters, Marjorie Williams and Mary Ellin White, as well as a brother, Skip White and granddaughter, Sarah Rowland.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, Virginia officiated by Scott Gammon. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Kristen Gammon, 260 Bennett St., Danville.
