Sophia Kouns

Sophia Ruth Kouns, infant daughter of Toby Lane Kouns and Tawanna Nichole Kouns of Eagle Rock, Virginia, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at her residence.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sisters, Adley, Ella, and Haven. Grandparents Diane Kouns and Eddie and Kathy Bradley as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In Sophia's brief time with us here on earth, she held a special place in the hearts of everyone who met her. Now, because of God's unfailing love, we have assurance that she is healed and in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of our acceptance of God's free gift of salvation, which is found in Romans 10:9, we have confidence that we will see her again and spend eternity together. This is not the end but only the beginning.

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00AM in Bethel Cemetery, Eagle Rock, with Pastor Brandon Nicely officiating.
