Stephanie Elaine Mawyer

Stephanie Elaine Mawyer, 45, of Lynchburg, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at her home, peacefully surrounded by her family.

Stephanie was born in Lynchburg on October 11, 1979. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who brought warmth, laughter, and love into every life she touched. She loved her family deeply, cherished spending time cooking for those she cared about, felt most alive when she was at the beach, and had a playful passion for collecting shoes.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Shane Mawyer, Sr.; her daughter Amber Blankenship (Noah); her son, Kevin Shane “SJ” Mawyer, Jr.; and her three grandchildren, Everleigh, Scarlett, and Meredith Blankenship. She is also survived by her parents, Phillip Powell (Lisa) and Lisa Tweedy (Robert DiFilippo); her brothers Thomas Vance, Trevor Vance, Phillip “P.J.” Powell, Jr., and Brian Reynolds, Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Joanne Fuqua; maternal grandfather, Leon Hamilton; her aunts Billie Jo Cox (Todd) and Shelby Frank; and her beloved pet, Princess.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Josh Poell and one sister, Angel Powell.

A service celebrating Stephanie’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
