Stephen Aaron Grandstaff

May 5, 1958 - February 12, 2026

Stephen Aaron Grandstaff entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2026, passing peacefully while surrounded by the family he led and loved.

Steve was a man of profound faith and quiet strength. He lived a life of daily ministry, viewing every encounter as an opportunity to serve others and glorify God. Known for his humor and sociability, Steve possessed the rare gift of engaging anyone—from any walk of life—in meaningful conversation. He met no strangers, only people he hadn’t yet befriended.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Waldo and Barbara Ann Grandstaff, and his brothers, David and Jay.

His legacy of faith, intellect, and kindness is carried on by his surviving family: his devoted wife, Denise; his children, Stephanie Glover and husband, Chris and Spenser Grandstaff; and his granddaughter, Eden, who was his pride and joy.

He is also survived by his brothers, Glen and wife, Katie and Tim and wife, Theresa; and his sisters, Becky Wray and husband, Jim, Heidi Hunt and husband, Robbie, and Roxie Maule and husband, Dan, along with a community of friends moved by his witness.

A celebration of his life and faith 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the Pate Chapel, Thomas Road Baptist Church, 1 Mountain View Road, Lynchburg, with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family would love donations to be made to further the cure of Alzheimer’s disease,
