Steve Weikle
Mr. Steve Alan Weikle, age 70, of Covington, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Libby" Weikle to whom he was married to for eighteen years.
Mr. Weikle was born January 4, 1955 in Covington, the son of the late Cebert Bernard Weikle and Ileita Gillespie Weikle. He was employed as a production operator by MeadWestvaco retired with forty-two years of service. Steve was an active member of the Boiling Springs Fire and Rescue for forty nine years as well as the Paint Bank Fire and Rescue Squad for four years where he was a level III firefighter and a former emergency medical technician (EMT). In his spare time, Mr. Weikle enjoyed hunting, fishing and rolling hay with his friends, Rich and Deb. He especially enjoyed going on road trips with his family. Most of all, Steve loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Weikle is survived by his sons, Stephen Joseph "Joe" Weikle and wife, Shannon and James Rob Weikle, all of Covington; his stepchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Amy Frady, Mr. & Mrs. Dianna and Tommy Murphy; his grandchildren, Shania Ward and husband, Travis and Carlea Weikle; his great grandchildren, Jack Coats and Austin Coats; his step-grandchildren, Carl A. Frady, IV, Thomas Murphy and Harper Murphy; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeff Kepley and Rose Beaudin, Barbara Fontaine, Mr. & Mrs. Mike and Nancy Freeman, Mr. & Mrs. Tracy and Floyd Edwards.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the First Christian Church Family Life Center with Rev. Donald Earwood officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
