Steven Clay Walters Obituary Steven Clay Walters, 65, of Salem, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2024. Born on November 11, 1958, he was the son of the late William Kyle and Susie Ellen Booth Walters. Steven loved working with his hands and working on trucks. He worked for many years at Wabtec (formerly Graham-White Manufacturing Company) assembling parts for railway transportation. Many Sunday afternoons were spent watching Nascar races and Steven loved cheering for his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially in the fall during hunting season. And he never turned down good moonshine. Above all, he adored his close-knit family and loved each of them more than they could ever imagine. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Debra Kay Walters; daughter, Stephanie Kay Walters; grandchildren, Jacob Kyle Walters and Randi Paige Terry; sister, Rhonda Walters Loyd; brothers, Rodney Lynn Walters, Sr. and Kenneth Wayne Walters; nieces and nephews, Brandi W. Roark, Dora Johnson, Danny Paul Jesse, Rodney Walter, Jr., Madison Painter, Hanna Walters, Amanda Walters and Maya Pryor, as well as his cat, Pearl, who he loved so very much.
