Steven D. Siler
Steven D. Siler, 74, of Roanoke, VA went home to be with his heavenly father on March 27, 2026 after fighting a long and courageous battle with pain. He fought the good fight and is finally at peace. He was born in Massachusetts on May 1, 1951 to Horace and Elaine Siler. He was an active member of Access 17th Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Elaine Siler; and sister, Sharon Tyree. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Eric Howard (Karla); grandson, Alex; sisters, Debbie Dalton (Gary) and Cindy Martin (Richard); brother, Billy Siler; a special niece; nephews; cousins; and aunts.
He was retired from Texas Tavern and the Roanoke Weiner Stand for many years as a cook and server. He never met a stranger and will be sadly missed by the many friends he knew and loved. Special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and the many kind and compassionate caregivers at Salem Health and Rehab Center.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Roanoke from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Lotz Funeral Home in Roanoke with Pastor John Hayden officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton.
