Sylvia Henley Harris

Sylvia Henley Harris, 77, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was retired from Hercules and attended Parrott United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington and Dona Esther Henley; sister Mary Henley Carper; and brothers, Dallas and Gary Henley.

Survivors include her husband, John Harris; her children, Katherine Radford (Steven), Shawn Elliott, Jonathan Harris (Selena), and Tasha Eaton (Greg Hupp); 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister, Shelby Wingo (Phillip); sisters-in-law, Nancy Hardymon (Doug) and Jeannie Henley; brother-in-law, Jay Harris (Carol); and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1pm on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Snowville Ruritan Club, 4867 Lead Mine Road, Hiwassee, Virginia, with Rev. Teresa Tolbert officiating.
