Tammy Marie Hodges

Tammy Marie Hodges, 41, of Blue Ridge, Virginia, passed away on July 17, 2023. She was born on November 6, 1981, in Roanoke, Virginia. Tammy, as she preferred to be called, was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and granddaughter. She had such a big heart and loved her family deeply. Tammy was always sweet and fun to be around, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.Tammy is survived by her father, James Preston Sr.; her brother, James Preston Jr.; her sons, Timothy Hodges Jr. and James Preston; her daughter, Elizabeth Hodges; her grandmother, Dorothy Crimmins; grandfather Patrick Crimmins and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Preston; her aunt, Joann Bowles; her uncle, Sammy Jordan; her cousin, John Crimmins; and her grandmother, Jean Preston.Tammy attended Franklin County High School and had a passion for writing poems. It was through her poetry that she expressed her innermost thoughts and emotions, leaving behind a beautiful legacy.To celebrate Tammy's life, a memorial service will be held at Rainbow Forest Church, located at 1338 Rainbow Forest Dr., Troutville, VA, on Saturday, July 29th at 12:00pm. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects to this extraordinary woman who touched the lives of many.In honoring Tammy's memory, let us remember her kind spirit, her love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
