Taundra Manieak Wright Preston

Taundra Manieak Wright Preston, 57, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, surrounded by family. She was born on April 15, 1966, to Thomas Edward Wright and Martha Jane Manns Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Preston, and her granddaughter, Daviana Manieak Turner.

Taundra was a lifetime member of St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Agnew. She served in many ministries at her local church, including as the president of the choir, where she "sang" her heart out. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She could be found watching TV, especially action movies and cartoons. She was a people person and never met a stranger, and she was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. She loved visiting the beach whenever she could, where she proclaimed receiving healing.

Taundra is survived by her three daughters, Terri Rone. Tiffany Dillard (her baby), and Natasha Brandt; two sons, Kevan Manns and Reginald "Fitty" Rone; two sisters, Miyoshie "Oshie" Hairston and Jon-na Wright; one brother, Marcus Wright; and an honorary sister, Laureen Zigler; 7 grandchildren who called her 'NANA", Jaidian, Davia, Terrion, Joirdin, Royal, Jazelle, and Jaziah; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Greater International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Inc., 980 Carver Road, Martinsville, Virginia 24112, with Pastor Bobby Agnew officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
