Teresa Lillian Manns

Teresa Lillian Hairston Manns, 54, of Eden, North Carolina died Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at UNC in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born August 9, 1968, to Deana Mae Helms Hairston and the late Clemons Hairston, Sr.

Teresa was a member of Peaceful Zion Baptist Church, loved to cook, was a true caregiver, loved shopping and picking her nephew June Bug. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for around 20 years.

In addition to her mother, Teresa is survived by her husband, Christopher Larry Carter; daughter, Nyemma Carter; sons, Steven McRae, Jr., and Johnathan McRae; brothers, Clemons Lee Hairston, Jr., and Steven Hairston; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 11:30 AM, at Peaceful Zion Baptist Church with Bishop Howard Smith officiating. The visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service, and a floating visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2022, at Wright Funeral Service at 3:00 – 5:00 PM. Burial will be at Fair Haven Memorial Park.
