Thelma Gay Gordon Lawson

Mrs. Thelma Gay Gordon Lawson, age 76, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy.   She was born on April 25, 1947 in Forsyth County to the late Lester and Edith Pratt Gordon.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, Wiley “Jr” Lawson; daughter, Charlotte Greene; son, Anthony Lawson; grandchildren, Adreanna Montgomery, Christa Proffitt; great-grandchildren, Joshua, and Raygan Montgomery, Paiytin Willard, Lexi, Dakota, and Mavis Proffitt; brothers, Ron, Marvin, and Roger Gordon.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by a sister, Loraine Honrine; brothers, Pete, and Leo Gordon.  A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Blue Hollow Baptist Church with service conducted by Rev. Ricky Martin.  Burial will follow at Indian Grove Family Cemetery.   The Family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time for the service at the church.
