Thelma Jennings Cash

May 27, 1929 - February 25, 2025

Thelma Jennings Cash, 95, of Madison Heights passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 surrounded by those she loved. She was the daughter of the late Hiter Tildon Jennings, Sr., and Elsie Wilmer Jennings.

Thelma, born on May 27, 1929, was a devoted member of Temple Baptist Church for many years, though her health prevented her from attending in her later years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, deeply proud of raising her children and always there for her family. After retiring from the Chapstick Company, Thelma dedicated her time to providing childcare and enrichment for her loved ones. Her selflessness and caring nature touched everyone around her, and she will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in passing by her late husband Forrest Cash; her daughter Linda Cash Davis; and her siblings Violet J. Wright and Hiter T. Jennings, Jr.

Those left to cherish Thelma’s life include her son Carlton Cash (Cathy); her sister Betty J. Baber; her grandchildren Stephanie Feyerherd (Robert), Barry Cash (Kerri), Michael Davis (Tabitha), Kevin Davis (Matt), Katie Davis (Aaron); her 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Thelma’s life will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11am at Whitten Monelison Chapel, with interment to follow at Amherst Cemetery. The family will receive friends the night prior Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 4-6pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Centra Hospice and their team for the dedication, care and concern of Thelma's care.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Temple Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
